Jun 6, 2024 · Speaking of challenge, it's just much more challenging in general in a good way. After 3, Yakuza games got far too easy in my opinion. PS2 challenge is good. Kiwami 2 is the easiest/fastest platinum of the series iirc. The Host Club minigame, where Kiryu serves as the host and helps manage the Host bar.

Aug 27, 2024 · I'm aware. I've played both games. My point is that Yakuza 1 is Sega's clear and blatant "This is Kiryu's first game" focus. They do not want people to think Yakuza 0 is "the first Yakuza game" because it isn't. The Amazon show being a retelling of Yakuza 1 also speaks to this. They consider 0 a "go back and learn more" game, NOT an introduction.

Jan 10, 2024 · I hate Yakuza 5 so much. It almost single handedly made me want to give up on the series. Thank God Yakuza 6 and all the following games are million times better. The definition of quantity above quality. I wouldn't even dare to attempt a platinum run.

Sep 20, 2024 · 1.5 times bigger than Gaiden is probably around half a regular Yakuza game. That make sense. I enjoyed Gaiden a lot, but the middle chapters of the story in that game very much felt like filler added in to extend the runtime. Hopefully that is not as much of an issue in Pirate Yakuza since it did not start as DLC (as far as we know).
