Which flywheel weight for YZ250X (and install) - ThumperTalk
Jan 18, 2018 · I have a 2018 YZ250X and based on suggestions from a thread I posted on "what YZ250X mods out of the gate?" I'm looking into adding a flywheel weight. This Steahly model comes in 11 or 13 oz. ... and this MSR model comes in 9, 11 or 13 oz. Any suggestions, especially on how much weight, would be much appreciated.
How many hours before rebuilding the top end? - ThumperTalk
Mar 19, 2021 · For my 2018 YZ250X I went 80 hours. I ride mostly singletrack and the trails to get to/from them, plus some putting around with my kids. Pics below. I could’ve gone longer but as others have said, top ends are relatively cheap. I will wait another 80, but I ride a little bit slower than @Yamahanick hehe.

Despite both being 250 2-strokes, the Sherco 250SE versus Yamaha YZ250X can't be compared as direct competitors to each other. -the YZ250X is still 95% an MX race bike with very few off-road features 'sprinkled on'. Oct 15, 2020 · 48 pilot jet. stock needle 2nd position. air screw 1.5 turns out. 30:1 fuel ratio. The bike is brand new with less than 10 hours on it. General riding conditions. Elevation - 50M-250M. Temp : 15-25C ( or 59-77F for my American riders) Humidity anywhere from 50-100% depending on time of the spring/summer/fall.

Here's my setup for eastern PA (500-3000'): 175 main/45 slow/N3CW-2/40 power (needle is leaner than Kinger's) 2020 YZ250X. Only mod on the engine is the power valve governor and the Apex XC dome. YZ250X break-in period ... what to believe from the manual?
Jan 10, 2018 · For a street machine owner, this dyno break-in translates to a period of moderate operation (Muzzy mentions 500 miles) followed by some hard acceleration. Sustained, high-speed operation is not a good idea because it provides no wash time at low load, during which the oil system can flush away any wear particles.

Oct 4, 2015 · If you want to beat guys on 4 strokes, or ride anything technical or just ride faster for longer, then: 1. The stock YZ250 1999-2015 motor doesn't have broad enough power. On/off pipe is stone age. 2. The stock suspension is too firm or harsh. The 250X will have broader power, mainly via the head and porting setup.
